About Us
Aging Services of California
Aging Services of California is the leading advocate for quality nonprofit senior
living and care in the state. The public-interest association represents more than
400 nonprofit providers of aging services – including affordable housing,
continuing care retirement communities, assisted living, skilled nursing, and
home and community-based care – that collectively serve more than 100,000
seniors.
Purpose
AgeTech California was established to advance the use of assistive and care
technologies by aging services and home care providers throughout California.
AgeTech is a programmatic partnership of Aging Services of California and the
California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH).
Goals
 | | Promote technology-enabled care and services for older Californians,
|
 | | Advance the sustainable deployment of social, health and wellness |
| | technologies by California aging services and home care providers to enhance:
|
 | | Wellness: including quality of care and quality of life,
|
 | | Safety and security of older adults,
|
 | | Aging-in-place through “Connected Independence,”
|
 | | Early fall detection and prevention,
|
 | | Chronic disease management (including medication |
| | management),
|
 | | Caregiving efficiency and enhancement,
|
 | | Cost efficiencies
|
 | | Facilitate the evaluation of California providers’ technology pilots and |
| | adoption of uniform policy and business models

The California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) is the leading
statewide home care association in the nation and the voice of home care for
the Western United States. Founded in 1966, CAHSAH has a long tradition of
service to the home care industry and to the public.
